In 2002, Tribal and Native leaders gathered to discuss economic self-determination, job creation and small business growth in Indian country. They dedicated themselves to working together to identify solutions to advance the collective well-being of Native peoples and formed Inter-Tribal Economic Alliance (ITEA).
