Business Features
Ask The World
i-Meet features the industry's first electronic Request For Information (e-RFI) tool , aptly named "Ask The World," the engine is the industry's first effort to formalize Requests For Information (RFIs), and it connects its planner members directly to over 40,000 suppliers around the world. A Request For Information (RFI) represents the early stage of a planner's decision making process and allows them to receive relevant information such as general pricing information or destination knowledge from suppliers. A RFI represents the preceding actions and research that a planner undertakes before proceeding to submitting a formal request for proposal.
RFIs give planners the ability to quickly secure important information, open up new relationships with suppliers, and have access to i-Meet's exclusive "Expert" network around the world. From a supplier's perspective, these RFIs are valuable as they identify business opportunities when they are first being considered.
Skills Marketplace
i-Meet's Skills Marketplace is a new feature that's nearing completion, whereby planners can market their services to organizations, and organizations can publish project work opportunities for planners to engage their services.
Ratings
i-Meet features a ratings system that allows members to rate suppliers and submit reviews on their experience with a supplier. Ratings on i-Meet are made by planners who plan meetings and events at a group level as opposed to the traditional consumer generated ratings and reviews. This group level rating system of i-Meet makes it more relevant to the Meeting Planning industry. Ratings on the i-Meet are all user-generated.
Tools
i-Meet features 4 broad categories of tools designed to aid planners in their activities; 1. Meeting Tools, 2. Destination Tools, 3. Travel Tools and 4. Communication Tools.
