Berg Consult is fully owned by Michael Berg, a 34 year old computer specialist. The core business focuses on web application development as well as Lotus Notes software development and consulting.
HyperPal is a proof of concept application that builds on Web Services and SOAP for client-server interaction. The client side is written in Borland Delphi 7 and the server is written in Java using a custom designed web application framework codenamed Accelza. The framework assists developers in all aspects of web application development and includes components for advanced data management and application services for reliability and scalability. Several Apache Jakarta frameworks and components are employed to ensure a high degree of interoperability and compatibility with any runtime environment.
The runtime environment currently consists of a hosted Linux server running Apache Tomcat for servlet and web application services and MySQL for database services.
