We are the most comprehensive healthcare provider between Birmingham and Nashville and one of the largest, not-for-profit, community owned hospital's in the country.
Huntsville Hospital was established in 1895 as a small infirmary serving the growing community of Huntsville, Alabama. A century later, it is the area's largest regional referral center, a comprehensive health care organization serving persons throughout North Alabama and South-central Tennessee. Today, the 901-bed facility includes Huntsville Hospital Medical Mall, Blackwell Medical Tower and other medical office properties on the campus of Huntsville Hospital East.
Our medical staff membership exceeds 550 physicians, representing more than 65 medical specialties. Huntsville Hospital serves as the clinical teaching facility for the UAB-Huntsville School of Primary Medical Care. We are affiliated with Voluntary Hospitals of America (VHA).
