About Us
The Hyde Park and District Lions Club serves our community in many ways. We support youth sports; cubs, scouts and girl guides; seniors; local churches; Woodeden Camp (Easter Seal Society); Parkwood Hospital; Jesse’s Journey; Memorial Boys and Girls Club; Special Olympics; SARI (Therapeutic Riding); and many more charities. We have helped provide guide dogs and special computers for the blind and we have worked with The Salvation Army, Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society and many others. We have helped purchase defibrillators for the Fire Department’s emergency vehicles and sent a team of Optometrists to Guyana to give eye exams to the poor and supply them with glasses.
