Description

Manufacturer of plastic extrusions and co-extrusions, utilizing both traditional and advanced resins; products include pipe, tubing and common to complex profiles. Co-extrusions up to five separate layers, as well as over-extrusions of rigid substrates. Difficult and intricate extrusions. Materials extruded include: ABS, ABS/PC, Acetal, Alcryn, CAB, Crystal Polystyrene, Delrin, Flexible PVC, Glass filled resin, HDPE, LDPE, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Polystyrene, Polyurethane, PVC Alloy, Rigid PVC, Santoprene, Teflon FEP, Urethane and Wood filled resin. Profiles ranging in size from 1/16" to 5" pipe or 10" profile with a virtually unlimited length. Secondary operations include drilling, punching, milling, sawing, printing, application of tape and sub-assembly work.

Founded in 1972, HPE Extrusion Solutions extrudes a wide variety of consumer, industrial and military products, ranging from garden trellises, bird perches, garage door seals and windows for M1 Abrams battle tanks to truck parts and components for computers, aerospace, audio systems and medical systems

The plastic parts, made from in-house custom dies, can be designed, developed and produced to meet a customer’s complete requirements for profiles, type of resin, quantity, colors and other specifications. Difficult profiles up to seven inches meet a wide range of applications in almost every industry—from bird patches and garage door seals to truck parts.

Experienced in-house custom die-making can furnish both complex and more conventional configurations

HPE works closely with customers to develop the most compatible thermoplastic material, design innovative extrusions and co-extrusions, manufacture custom dies, and produce finished tight tolerance pieces in high and low volumes, as required.

HPE’s 24,000 square foot headquarters/production facility in the Bally Brook Industrial Park, Bally, PA., includes a 1 ¼-inch portable Welex extruder with 60 amp. Electrical connector, which can be wheeled around for co-extrusions, and nine other extrusion machines. The portable extruder can be used to produce a wide variety of complex co-extrusions at less cost to customers because it does not require a dedicated co-extrusion line, .
