Huerfano Re-1 School District Administration Office, located at 201 East 5th Street, Walsenburg, Colorado, 81089. We are a small school district in Southern Colorado, west of Interstate 25, north of Trinidad, Colorado and south of Pueblo, Colorado. Huerfano RE-1 schools are located in Walsenburg and northwest 27 miles on Highway 69 in Gardner. The nearly 600 preschool through high school students attending in Walsenburg, share a newly completed campus on West Pine Street.
