pulled from site's meta descriptionThe Hudson Regional Health Commission, with the support of all municipalities and the County of Hudson, has been providing environmental control programs since 1971. Pursuant to the County Environmental Health Act the Commission has been designated by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the Board of Chosen Freeholders as the lead agent for the following environmental control programs: air pollution control, noise pollution control, solid waste enforcement, water pollution control, hazardous substance control/emergency response. Since 2001, the Commission has been implementing a public health emergency response program with the support of the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, all municipalities and the county of Hudson. The Commission is governed by a Board of Commissioners representing each of the Hudson County municipalities.
