The Ven. Dao Chuan is affiliated with the Los Angeles Buddhist Union (LABU) located in Rosemead, CA. Master Chao Chu is president of the LABU and Abbott of the Rosemead Buddhist Monastery he has ordinations in both the Theravada and Mahayana (Chinese) traditions. The Hsu Yun Buddhist Association was founded by The Venerable Dao Chuan to further the teachings of Grand Master Hsu Yun, Chinese Buddhism and Buddhism in general. The goal of the organization is to explore traditional Buddhism and to offer teachings, religious services and ritual. It is based in Tucson, AZ.
The Hsu Yun Buddhist Association is incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the State of Arizona. The corporation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a religious foundation and church and is approved under section 501-C-3 of the IRS code making all donations tax deductible.
