The Firm was founded in 1985 by a small group of attorneys from major Philadelphia firms and government practice. The Firm's senior litigators, who began to practice in the late 1960s and 1970s, gained much of their early experience in antitrust and securities cases. That experience taught them how to handle class action and other complex litigation. The Firm began its practice as national counsel for a major building products manufacturer in asbestos property damage litigation.
