How to use History script

Welcome to AboutUs. I'm Ted and today's screencast is "How to use the history function" on AboutUs.

We'll use TheGreaterGreen.com as an example.

We click the "history" link near the top-left.

Voila! We see all the edits that have ever been made to this page.

On the 30th of December, this page was created by the AboutUsBot.

Four edits were then made by a logged in person over the next 17 minutes.

Then on the 18th of January, two more edits were made, this time by a non-logged-in person, so the system recorded the IP address.

We can click on the timestamp of any of these edits to see how the page looked at that time. We can also edit that old version simply by clicking edit. (Explain that doing so will get rid of edits that were made since this timestamp, revert?)

We can also compare any two edits by clicking the radio (?) buttons and clicking "compare selected versions". The yellow highlighting shows what was removed and the green shows what was added.

That's all about the history function. Give it a try and I'll see you on the wiki!
