Earl J. Bleser, CFE, established HOSPITALITY SAFEGUARDS, INC. in 1988 to assist and guide industry professionals in solving accounting, operational and loss prevention problems. Mr. Bleser's 30 years experience in the hospitality industry began with Howard Johnson's Corporation as Director of Loss Prevention followed by Marriott Family Restaurants. Prior to entering the hospitality field, he became an expert polygraph examiner as an Investigator with the New York State Police Department and Bureau of Criminal Investigation, specializing in white-collar crime.
David M. Bleser, Vice President of Operations, is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Hotel Management. David is a former Assistant Manager for Cracker Barrel Restaurants and a former Food and Beverage Director for Servico and Starwood Hotels and Resorts. As a member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, he is currently Vice Chairman of the Loss Prevention Committee. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, The Institute of Internal Auditors and the American Society for Industrial Security. For over 8 years David has participated as well as managed the Internal Auditing and Loss Prevention projects conducted by HOSPITALITY SAFEGUARDS, INC. He has extensive knowledge in operational policies and procedures and has written several articles for special fraud publications.
