Horst Group traces its roots back five generations - to the late 1800s - when Joseph Horst built Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Terre Hill, Pennsylvania. Horst's son, William, later joined the family construction business. By the time Abe, part of the third generation, joined the business in 1934, the Horst name was known for quality craftsmanship and honoring its "handshake" commitments. Abe Jr. joined the family business in 1952.
