Description
We welcome the opportunity to report to you about the activities of Hopkins House for the 2004 fiscal year ended this past June.
In 2004, Hopkins House provided services to 146 children and families through our preschool academy, MOM ("Managing Our Money") Project, and our Elward J. Alexander III Memorial Gift Fund.
The Hopkins House Preschool Academy -- the preschool of choice for parents who want the best for their children -- provided a rich tapestry of learning experiences to 140 children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. These children, largely from single parent homes, in addition to learning the alphabet, numbers, seasons, colors and shades, distances, writing and reading, also learned French, sharing, language expression, and a variety of other social skills important to success in school and achievement in later life. The Preschool Academy, with working parents in mind, also extended our evening hours to 7 pm in 2004.
