Hometown Marketing was established in 1995, and it's founding partners, marketing "idea man" Tom Hickey and creative graphic designer Joy Taylor, have been working together since the1980's. Their careers brought them up the ranks at Imprint Newspapers in West Hartford CT, working for Chris Larsen, and when he sold the company to Capital Cities/ABC, Tom and Joy worked for John Coots in establishing the New England Newspaper Group. They used their marketing, sales and creative expertise to improve sales for close to 100 suburban weekly newspaper products throughout New England.
Today the primary products and services provided by Hometown Marketing include PUBLISHING full color glossy magazines (including Living in West Hartford, Living on The Shoreline and Living in The Valley); MARKETING SERVICES (everything from logo design to web site design) & AD PLACEMENT services, which includes brokering ad space for other publications.
