I am Shiloah (shy-low-ah) Baker, Founder, owner, author and editor of The Homemaking Cottage. I am a 28 year old homemaker and currently CEO of the Baker Household and teacher at home to my little kiddos. I am LDS- or a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am very grateful for my membership in the church and am very thankful for my family! My current calling in the church is Young Women's First Counselor

I am married to a wonderful man- Ben Baker. He is an awesome husband and father and he helps me so much with all the household duties. Together we have 6 darling children Our children are: Cailynn-10, Charisa-8, Benjamin-7, Makenzie-4, Madison 2, and baby Meredith-1. Our daughter Makenzie was recently diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder and it makes a lot of sense after years worth of major messes such as Crisco smeared everywhere!

I have a lot of hobbies which include: sew, webdesign, writing, crafts, paper crafts, scrapbooking, baking, homemaking, cross-stitch, sewing, quilting, reading, entertaining, toll-paint and crafting all sorts of things. I read, read, read! I am constantly wanting to learn new things and I love books that teach me skills and how to be a better person. I scrapbook almost every weekend- its a wonderful way for me to relief stress. I love to decorate my home and learn as many new homemaking skills as I can.
