The Home School Foundation
Description
The Foundation's mission is to preserve parental freedoms, promote home schooling, provide assistance to needy home schooling families, and support like-minded organizations. HSF is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charitable foundation.
The HSF was founded by the Home School Legal Defense Association and is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation initially established in 1992 to promote home schooling and bless the home school movement. While our original focus was on helping other home school groups, God has since expanded our vision to include needy families within the home school community.
Our new name—the Home School Foundation—reflects the broader nature of the needs we meet. We are currently seeking to help families through seven funds: the Widows Fund, the Special Needs Children’s Fund, the Friends of Home Schooling Fund, the Generation Joshua Fund, the Compassion Fund, the PHC Scholarship Fund, and the Members Helping Members Fund. We eventually hope to add other funds as the Lord leads, and other needs within the home school community are revealed.
