Hello, my name is Chuck, a 28 year old baseball fan living in Massachusetts. As you might expect, I love baseball cards! I started collecting when I was in 3rd grade and my first pack was a pack of 1987 Topps for 35 cents. Today the average pack costs $2.99, and it does not include a stick of bubble gum! *eegads!* However, the selection and the quality of the cards have greatly increased, and with the Internet, cards are easier to collect than before.
This web site you're at Homeruncards.com is my job. I spend a lot of time adding new players and new cards to it every week. Currently I have around 5,000 different players listed. And it's still growing! Most web sites only sell cards of the top 20 stars like Bonds and Jeter, but I know people like the lesser known players, too! When I'm not busy with baseball cards, I enjoy music, as well as playing baseball, basketball, frisbee, and roto sports. In addition, I'm passionate about serving God. He has changed my life in a positive way. I no longer strive for material possessions like I once did. Yes, even baseball cards are not the center of my life. It is just a hobby, and can be a great hobby if taken in moderation. Keep in mind, we are only here on earth for a limited amount of time. Afterwards, we will spend an eternity somewhere. What we do during our short period of time on this planet will affect the rest of our eternal life.
