Indochine first opened its doors as a small retail shop in Boulder, Colorado in 1993. Owners Hugo Brooks and Mary Bryan Brooks saw a need for quality Asian furniture, antiques and hand-crafted items at affordable prices. So they called on their many years' combined experience doing business in Asia and became direct importers.
By traveling to Asia and the Pacific Rim countries, meeting the traders and craftsmen directly, and purchasing directly, they personally ensure the quality and authenticity of their purchases. They have eliminated the middlemen and their added costs, and are pleased to pass these savings on to their customers. They are always available to work directly with customers and will search for just the piece you are looking for.
Indochine was a big hit with the locals and visitors to the area. In 1995 they expanded to add a 10,000 square foot warehouse location, and in 2003 they doubled the size of the original store.
