The Home Care Information Technology Council (HITC) is a membership organization open to software vendors that provide products and services to home health care providers. Organized in 1999, HITC members include the leading technology companies in home health care. HITC's mission is to educate the industry about the clinical and financial advantages of using technology instead of manual systems. Executive Director Tim Rowan, president of Rowan Consulting Associates, Inc. and Editor of Home Care Technology Report, has been commissioned to coordinate HITC's mission, manage its web site and produce an annual magazine, "Home Care Technology."
