- The Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross, imbued with the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi and inspired with founders charism of "compassionate love to all", value the apostolate of education a very effective expression of the charism. The motto of the Congregation is "the need of the time is the will of God". Keeping the motto in mind the sisters have established centers in 13 states in India upto now, responding to the invitations of different societies and organizations. They serve the Nation in various fields like, Formal and Non-formal Education , Teachers training , Nursing training, Social work, vocational training programmes, hospitals, care of the old, widows, Orphans and so on. In all these the poor, oppressed and socially less privileged are given priority. We aim at forming fully alive women and men, who will live and work for others and contribute to the building up of just and fraternal society.
