About us
As a team of dedicated travel industry pioneers with decades of experience in tour operations, high street travel agency retail, flight consolidation and disabled-access tourism, we are delighted to have created yet another ground-breaking holiday service – Holiday Access Direct.
Richard cut his teeth in the youth market with legendary youth brands, Club 18-30 and Buddies before moving into skiing, school travel and eventually setting up his own leisure businesses in Greece. An accident in the French Alps, in which he sustained a spinal injury would lead Richard into the 'world of disability'. It was perhaps inevitable then that the two elements would come together and in 1997 he moved into the field of accessible travel and almost a decade on has brought his unique level of knowledge, insight and vision to bare on this new and exciting holiday service.
Wendy is well known in the trade having spent 30 years running her own chain of retail agents before establishing a leading flight consolidation business. Having recently hung up her corporate hat, she has spent the past year 'educating' the retail trade about the merits and methods of servicing disabled customers. Wendy knows more than most about the opportunities which this market presents and looks forward to helping improve access to the world for all.
