The Presidents' Summit for America's Future. The Summit brought together organizations and individuals from the private, public and non-profit sectors in an effort to aid our nation's youth. 150 HOBY Ambassadors from the Pennsylvania East region participated in the historic event. They worked side by side with General Colin Powell, painting over graffiti and cleaning up the 3500 block of Germantown Avenue.

America's Promise - The Alliance for Youth, through General Powell's leadership, is the national campaign that will propel the mission and goals of the Summit forward. HOBY makes its commitment to America's future while sharing the spirit of kindness and the warmth of community.

HOBY Leadership Seminars include a service component called "Leadership for Service." This program includes the 7,500 sophomores who attend HOBY Seminars to undertake community service projects and requires a minimum total of 100 hours. This effort results in at least 750,000 volunteer service hours each year. To step up efforts to help young people realize the personal and social benefits of volunteerism and service, HOBY gives each Ambassador who successfully completes the 100 hours of service a recognition and rewards package.
