Holographic Computing

Description

Excerpted from the website:

A holoprocessor is a CPU unit which uses holographic technology to access, process, and store information. When you drop two pebbles in water, circular ripples spread out along the exterior from their points of impact. These ripples overlap and create an interference configuration as their peaks and toughs mix. In a similar way, a hologram is a three-dimensional image constructed by the overlap and interference of two crossing illumination rays. One beam retrieves data that was recorded within optical saving media; it is referred to as the "signal" or "object" ray. The different shaft is called the "reference" shaft. Holographic science will likely be used to: store and recreate likenesses of objects; and retain, process and retrieve data. It is a critical example of the general sector of interferometric research.
