Historic Steam Models Ltd is the sole manufacturer of the very successful York ~ Bolton Mill Engine and Steam Plant and the Merlin Agricultural Engine. We are continually developing new models to add to our range. We are based in Billingshurst, West Sussex , England , where we hold extensive stock of spare parts and manufacture both self assembly kits and fully assembled, ready to run, models. We pride ourselves in producing a high quality product, which will give the owner many years of satisfaction.
All of our products are designed and manufactured in the UK with emphasise on combining new technology and manufacturing techniques with the historic designs and industrial works of art which form our quality products. Most of the components are manufactured using the latest CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machining centres and therefore maintain precise tolerances and do not need any further machining or finishing. All paint work is stove enamelled, exposed brass components are electro-lacquered, steel components are made from high grade stainless steel and wooden components are stained and lacquered to prevent any degradation of the finished model.
