Hindley are Matt Hindley, Gemma Thompson and Ayse Hassan. They were brought together by a desire to create shoegazey, atmospheric songs about escape. Gemma's guitar, Matt's vocals and Ayse's bass help Hindley create a sound influenced by Echo and the Bunnymen, My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth and 16mm films about landslides.
