Description
The Hillman Owners Club of Australia Inc was formed in September 1983. The primary aim is to promote the restoration and preservation of Hillmans in original form. A Register is maintained with the details of all members' Hillman vehicles (engine number, model. etc.). In addition, such details of all pre-World War II Hillmans which come to our notice are recorded (whether member owned or not). It should also be mentioned that this club has celebrated it's 20th year anniversary in 2003.The Club also aims to provide a source of information about Hillman vehicles and to provide assistance to people wishing to own and maintain Hillmans.
The Club has a membership in excess of Eighty Five members, and with a following from overseas, sort of makes us an International Club. A new course was taken to introduce four classes of membership they include full, associate, family, and junior. We are trying to encourage younger people to take an interest in our club activities, and the ongoing restoration of the Hillman Marque. Cars within the club are a mixed breed and the level of presentation is very high.
Commercial vehicles are permitted in our club, they include, Hillman Commer, Karrier, and Vulcan vehicles. Members have access to our library, which is growing all the time. Workshop manuals and repair manuals are available on a loan basis to all members.
