Hill Havurah - Welcome
Description
The Hill Havurah gathers on the third Friday evening of each month to welcome the Sabbath with a high level of singing and participation. After a lay-led Shabbat service which begins at 7pm, we enjoy a hearty potluck dinner and the fellowship of friends. All are welcome. Potluck dishes are appreciated.
Friday evening Shabbat services are conducted in the activity room of Christ Our Shepherd Church, a large, beautiful stone building at 801 North Carolina Ave SE on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. See how to get there
Shabbat morning services are conducted at the homes of volunteering members and feature joyous singing, prayerful meditation, reading from our Sefer Torah and brief discussions. A potluck Shabbat luncheon follows and all are welcome. Contact info@hillhavurah.org for specific location and schedule.
