Homeserve to Acquire Glazing Division of Pilkington Products
I am pleased to announce that Homeserve plc has agreed terms with Pilkington United Kingdom Limited to acquire the business and assets of the Glazing Division of Pilkington Building Products ('Pilkington Glazing'). The acquisition is expected to complete on 21st April 2006.
Pilkington Glazing is a nationwide domestic and commercial glazing repair business operating from seven regional branches across England and Wales employing 113 people, including 44 glaziers. In addition the business operates an extensive nationwide subcontractor network.
Pilkington Glazing's customer base is complementary to that of Homeserve's existing Glass and Locks business. The acquisition builds on Homeserve's offering adding a proven commercial glazing capability and provides access to a high quality subcontractor network.
