High House Farm and Woodlodge are ideally situated for exploring the heart of Rural Suffolk, local vineyards, Easton Farm Park, Framlingham and Orford Castles, Parham Air Museum, Saxtead Windmill, Local houses, gardens and churches, Minesmere Bird Reserve, Snape maltings and the Heritage Coast. It is also just half a mile from the Woodland Trust’s largest new wood of 220 acres at Pound farm, Great Glemham.
The small medieval town of Framlingham famous for its ancient Castle, (complete with museum) Church, Mere, and College is about four miles away, where there are many varied shops, including a Solar Supermarket. There are some well used and signposted circular footpaths in the Framlingham area.
About Five miles in the other direction is the small market town of Saxmundham where there is large Somerfield store and also the nearest Railway Station. Eastern Counties Bus Company has very limited services to both Framlingham and Saxmundham.
