In High Descent you are a 12th century nobleman, trying to ascend the ranks of nobility. There are other noblemen who would love to see you fall, thereby having your power and land distributed amongst them.
You have control of a small army of mercenaries who will protect you and your followers. You must turn them into an experienced group of fighters and suit them with the best of arms if you plan on making it anywhere in this world.
