Per Lindstrand formed Lindstrand Technologies Ltd (then Lindstrand Balloons Ltd) in 1991, and the company is still based at a purpose-built factory in Oswestry, Shropshire. Arguably the most experienced balloonist in the world, Per personally holds three hot-air ballooning records, for the highest, longest and farthest balloon flights ever made (distance, duration and altitude). With a background in aeronautical engineering, Per has pioneered many technical innovations himself, and so whilst our main products were initially hot-air ballons, LTL's team of aeronautical fabric engineers now specialises in many and more diverse forms of lighter-than-air technology. With designs certified in 48 countries and a perfect safety record, we are the world's most versatile manufacturer of aerostats, airships and high-tech inflatable buildings and structures.
