Description
The Foundation makes grants each year, in support of this mission, to programs and services at local hospitals, clinics and community-based organizations. We also offer training and technical assistance, alone or in partnership with other funders, to assist such organizations in the provision of health services.
We are proud to sponsor GrantPartners.net, a website dedicated to matching grantmakers and grant-seekers, "connecting those who make a difference in the lives of others."
Funds for our annual grantmaking and technical support activities come from charitable remainder trusts, gifts and bequests of generous individuals and families, who want their charitable giving to improve the health of County residents. In addition, a significant proportion of our grantmaking draws on the proceeds of the sale of United Western Medical Centers to Tenet, and is intended to continue the charitable legacy of those hospitals in central Orange County. The Foundation also provides stewardship for grants from other foundations, dedicated to improving health services in Orange County.
