- I started this business because I love the art, workmanship, and history of Oriental rugs. This interest of mine started when I began trying to learn more about a rug I bought in Turkey several years ago. The more I learned, the more I came to realize exactly how high rug prices are often marked up at the retail level. I realized that while many fine rugs deservedly command many thousands of dollars in high-end stores, the common person's general perception that all Oriental Rugs cost an arm and a leg was unfounded and only served to intimidate people from trying to learn more about the wonderful world of Oriental rugs.
