HernandoLiving.com was an idea I had while driving home from Tampa International in June of 1999. I noticed a neon sign that read "Apartment Finders...visit us online." I know there were not many apartments in Hernando County in 1999, but figured that people still could use a finders service to eliminate the use of realtors.
I learned pretty quick that HernandoLiving.com was not going to turn out how I planned. There was a struggle in the beginning to find a look that was visitor friendly, and looked professional at the same time. We found that look after redesigning the site about 5 times before sticking with the current look you see when you visit today. Before long the site had everything on it except for what was originally planned. I can say with honest that it has cost us thousands of dollars more than what we have earned over the past 5 years to do what we have done with the site, but it has been more of a community project for us. Oh, I should say that our realty section is about done...over 5 years later.
I guess I should mention who I am. My name is Rob Rogoski. I was born in Winter Park, Florida, and I have lived in Florida most of my life. There were a few years between the ages of 1 and 5 that we lived in Islip, Long Island, NY. It is strange how something that kind of resembles a New York accent comes out when I speak to people...I guess the early years are pretty influential.
