Ruth Tyson lives at Carnforth, North Lancashire, a town most famous for its links with the film Brief Encounter which made famous the station clock.
Ruth has no formal art education but always had drawing skills. Through her love for animals and the close observation of them she has channelled her artistic skills into portraying them.
Ruth uses watercolour pencils which are softer and easier to blend and which she finds perfect for achieving the look and texture of fur.
