Description
Carol Walnum, M.A., M.B.A., earned her master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute (Carpenteria, CA) and her master's degree in management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). During her years working with students and business professionals she observed that adolescents and adults with unrecognized learning challenges often had difficulty meeting their career goals. In addition, Carol has family members who have learning challenges. She saw the important difference in the well-being of her own family when learning disorders were addressed.
Carol is a Registered Intern for the Licensed Professional Counselor license in Oregon. She is a member of the educational resource community in Portland (Oregon), the Attention Deficit Disorder Association and the Mental Health Alliance - Oregon. Her practice focuses on children, youth, adults and their families in Multnomah, Clackamas, Yamhill, and Washington Counties.
Based on her personal and professional experience, she believes each child and adult should have the opportunity to live fully productive lives. Some individuals need very specific, supplemental education, training, or counseling to achieve this opportunity.
