ABOUT THE HEALTHY BRAIN PROGRAM
Brain disease is increasingly recognized as a major killer. For this reason alone, there is a need for a higher awareness of the prevalence of brain disorders and the desirability of early diagnosis and treatment. Given that we know a great deal about the brain, prevention of brain disorders and promotion of brain health is a very practical endeavour.
The Healthy Brain Program©, also known as The Healthy Aging Program© consists of a main didactic lecture and eight small group interactive seminars or series of workshops where facilitators use overhead slide presentations and offer Q&A opportunities.
The main lecture and slide presentation, lasting about an hour, gives an outline and overview of the whole program. It explains the need for a higher level of awareness of the brain as an organ, which, like the heart, requires preventive care and maintenance. The brain is our best health care system; it deserves more attention.
