- Aiming to create sustainable development momentum of Humla District, NIDS (Nepal Institute of Development Studies) started HDI (Humla Development Initiative) looking at the issues of poverty alleviation, fighting for food deficit, and improved/intermediate technology promotion, sustainable agriculture development and biodiversity conservation in Humla. It is still in the pilot phase.
