HBBA is a group of business owners with resources to assist, educate, generate referrals and provide support to new and existing entrepreneurs.
Our goal is to serve as a common ground for individuals and families operating businesses in Wisconsin. We produce valuable services through ongoing support and use of the media, educational resources, expert speakers, and consultants. HBBA exists to provide support for established businesses, fledgling entrepreneurs, and those who are still deciding whether to open a new business.
Initially formed as a focus group, the group met to discuss the unique needs of business owners who work out of their homes. They developed a program of topics concerning marketing, production, providing services, and zoning and regulations to address such questions as: How do I market my home-based business? How do zoning laws affect me? What grants are available to me? How do I meet other entrepreneurs that understand my unique situation? Where can I learn from experts without paying an arm and a leg? The focus group envisioned an association of business owners that could discuss and offer solutions for challenges such as these.
