Cynthia has been with the News Times since July 2007, starting as editor and becoming publisher in November 2007. She previously was owner and publisher of Community Newspapers, Inc. which owned three weekly newspapers in Grant County for about 17 years. She comes from a newspaper family and started working at the family-owned newspaper in North Manchester, a twice-a-week publication, at age 12. She also has worked at several other newspapers as a reporter and city editor.
