HAOS - Hereford Amateur Operatic Society

Description

The Society has just completed it's annual Summer concert "Memory Lane", what started as a one off, has become very popular with the membership and the audiences alike. This years again was a total sell out, and we shall raise a 'goodly' sum of Society funds.

The Society maintained it's high profile in the NODA Poster and Programme Competion, this year we recieved the runners - up award in the Souvenir Programme Class with the La Cage Programme. This award was presented at the Western Area Conference of NODA held again in Hereford, which 30 of our members attended and had a brilliant time.

Like most societies in the country Hereford A.O.S had a nomadic existence until the 1970's, we must have used every public house, school hall etc for all rehearsals up to this time.
