Some insurance companies will attempt to "steer” you to a repair shop of their choice. What they don't tell you is the fact that these shops have entered into a contract with the referring insurance company, agreeing to repair your vehicle with parts and procedures dictated by the referring insurance company. These are called Direct Repair Programs.
