Location
Hamanasi is ideally located in the Stann Creek district, in the central mainland of Belize. Because of its central location Hamanasi can offer the widest variety of adventures on and offshore. While the majority of other resorts in Belize are located on Ambergris Caye in the far north or Placencia in the south, those locations effectively limit their guests to half the country. Hamanasi is the only resort that can dive the Belize barrier reef (2nd longest in the world) as well as all 3 of Belize's offshore atolls, Glovers' Reef Atoll, Turneffe Islands Atoll, & Lighthouse Reef Atoll including the famous Great Blue Hole. Other resorts force you to choose just 1 or 2. Onshore, Hamanasi is a short drive from the famous Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Preserve, and offers day trips to Mayan ruins at Xunantunich and Caracol and adventures such as jungle zip lining and cave exploration. The resort grounds themselves are amidst a coastal jungle with 400 feet of private beach and a private nature reserve offering some of the best birding in Belize. No other resort in Belize can offer the variety of adventures and activities that you can find at Hamanasi.

The center of the resort is a "Great House", reminiscent of a plantation home, which is the heart of all activity. It contains the lobby, reception, gift shop, restaurant, bar and wrap-around veranda.
Dining can be indoors or on the veranda overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the cuisine is a mix of Belizean and international dishes with a carribean twist with an emphasis on fresh seafood. Fine wines, champagne, spirits and fresh tropical drinks available. The grounds include more than 400 feet of private beachfront on the carribean sea, a curved, freshwater infinity pool with brick decking, lush gardens with native vegetation and fauna and both beachfront and treehouse rooms.

Hamanasi offers a full service scuba diving and snorkeling center - the largest in southern Belize - with a full line of rental equipment and boats. Hamanasi is a PADI 5 Star Gold Palm Resort - A Belizean guide accompanies all snorkel trips and a PADI Instructor or Divemaster accompanies all dive trips. All inland adventures are led by professionally trained and certified tour guides.
