Halton Holegate Church of England Primary School is proud of its happy, caring environment. I am fortunate in having very dedicated, well qualified staff, who assist me in our aim to provide a stimulating yet safe and secure place where your children feel valued and can become confident learners. We want them to achieve success and to work and play together with mutual respect. We make a point of using praise wherever possible, so that the children can feel proud of their efforts. We know that this translates itself from one area and spreads across the whole curriculum, extending to the way that they treat their environment and their peers.
We encourage parents to take an active role in their children's education. The school has regular parents evenings, so that work can be viewed and progress discussed with the class teacher. We also operate an 'Open Door' policy so that any concerns may be discussed immediately, should they arise. We are fortunate that many parents offer their expertise in running after school clubs.
We have close connections with St Andrew's Church of England Church within the village. Church representatives are on the Governing Body and take a keen interest in the children and their progress.
