2004 In January join the company: Paola Bacchiega (ex champion and sail trainer), Dede De Luca (from the Olympics to the America’s Cup he races at top level since over 30 years), Mafio De Luca (skipper, his experience is from dinghies to ocean maxis). These admissions into the Halsey staff make rich and give continuity to the sail loft.
1998 Halsey sailmaker becomes the official and exclusive supplier of the Del Pardo shipyard, for which the loft realizes almost all the standard sail and on client’s request even the most particular sails. Halsey becomes a specialist even in the classic‘s area : the boats as Orion, Croce del Sud, Skegerrak, Astra, TeVega, Latifa, Cariba, Candida , Invader and others more are fully or partially hoisted by Halsey. We don’t have to forget the cadet ships A.Vespucci and Palinuro. This year Halsey Sail expands with another loft in Hungary. This headquarter is managed by Laszlo Horvath ex Olympic trainer and sailmaker since over 20 years . The sails are designed and cut in the Verona’s loft, assembled and finished off in the Hungarian one for the Magyar, German and Austrian markets. The Hungarian loft is faced on Balaton Lake and on North Sea.
1995 Halsey Sail adds another new operative headquarter in La Spezia fortifying his staff. The loft in La Spezia is managed by Andrea Giresini (ex production manager of M&N). At the beginning the loft is engaged in the production and commercialization of the sails for the Tyrrhenian Sea area. In the two headquarters work totally 25 persons. The joint venture, at the beginning, is tipically commercial , but very soon makes rich with very high technical contents. The utilization of the same software , same materials and same building techniques permit to product the sails without distinction in any loft. Every choice is done simply on the basis of the kind and the size of the sails.
