Haley was born in Lake Charles, LA, and she grew up on the Isle of Palms, SC. She earned a biology degree and a fine arts minor (emphasis on acting performance) from the College of Charleston, SC. She began to reconcile the two with NASA-sponsored children's shows, and this led to her first professional year of directing and touring with the Missoula Children's Theatre in 2000. She has been professionally acting and touring ever since, directing and playing to over 900,000 kids aged 5-17.
