Haiti Hope Fund was established in 1993 by Harold and Ivah Heneise, following their 45 years of missionary service in Haiti. The organization name at that time was ICEF, the International Christian Education Fund, Inc., established as a 501c 3 tax exempt non-profit organization. The original purpose of ICEF was to provide a way for people to send financial support to the Haitian Baptist Theological Seminary (STBH) at Limbe, Haiti, and receive official IRS tax credit for their donations.
