H4h.org is the Huron Valley, Michigan chapter of Habitat for Humanity
Title
Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley
Description
HHHV was incorporated in 1989 and began construction of its first home in 1990. To date, HHHV has completed nearly 60 homes in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area. Over 150 people live in Habitat Houses in Washtenaw County. Thanks!
Our chapter is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers. The Board plans the chapters projects, sets policy and manages fundraising. We are one of over eighty Michigan affiliates and college campus chapters. Michigan hosts the largest number of chapters in any state.
HHHV has an annual budget over $1 million and assets of over $2 million dollars. Future plans involve building 7-10 houses annually for the next 5 years. The affilate needs about 8,000 volunteer hours and $80,000 for each house, for building materials, land acquisitions, and site development.
