The founders of Guru Labs, Bryan Croft and Dax Kelson, experts in their fields had successfully deployed Linux in many environments from the early 1990s. Bryan and Dax recognized the limitless possibilities of Linux and open source contribution. With the rising exposure and popularity of Linux, a large number of potential users and existing users were seeking in-depth, specialized training.
Construction of headquarters and classrooms began on August 16, 1999. Guru Labs hired Smith Hyatt Architects to design classrooms for the maximum comfort of the students. Corporate identity was established on September 8, 1999 and a targeted marketing campaign began the following week. First classes were scheduled January 24, 2000.
The management team has a combined total of over 30 years experience providing cutting edge software and technology training and consulting. Guru Labs is well known and respected within the Linux training industry and has partnerships with many Linux training organizations.
